History of MoonDreamTea

Timeline: 2000-2003 - Started in a Massachusetts high school as a lounge area tea-stand which served cups of organic teas and wellness herbs to all students at the Cambridge School of Weston. The students all gathered, talked health, community and current affairs. Considered a success. All profits went to charity - Food not Bombs and Greenpeace.

2003-2007 – Operations grew and MoonDreamTea moved to Washington State. Teahouse was opened up for The Evergreen State College Community while Owner Phillip Boisvert studied healing sciences, water, business and sustainability both on earth and during space travel. Teahouse stored lots of wellness herbs and tea. Anyone could stop by anytime available: to have a custom tea blend created for them, to share in the drinking or ceremony of a tea. Major problem included not asking for fair wages, slow production time, costly operations. MoonDreamTea falls into financial difficulties but has a great public image.

2007-2009 –MoonDreamTea moves back to Massachusetts so Owner Phillip Boisvert could attend MBA program at UMASS BOSTON to learn more about business, on the side he studies environmental ethics, triple-bottom line philosophy, and argued for co-operations vrs. corporation. During countless hours in the library, Phillip concluded - the future of society lays in the public re-learning the relationship with the Earth and with Space. That the future rests in the society understanding both sustainability on Earth and in Space. Of course, we cannot survive on this planet without our plants, our wellness herbs, and teas – and it is doubtful we could survive in Space without these either. Though, Phillip understood realistically this is improbable in his lifetime, he noted he could use business skills, cooperation techniques and MoonDreamTea as a vehicle to help bring about sustainable space travel during his childrens' lifetimes.

2010 – Present – Finishes school, builds a Tea Blending Station at a New Hampshire Family Farm House. MoonDreamTea decides to become a live triple-bottom line business selling their own blended teas and wellness herbs on the internet, individuals, at farm markets, and farm stands and donating a portion of the profits to charities which support his dream. The recipes he has come up with after years in the field. He feels each tea brings a story and with that a particular healing quality to society.
